A few months ago I entered six of my photos into InFocus. One was chosen, My “Violin”. Thank you to my beautiful model Dominique Simone Banner. The InFocus Photo Exhibition is an annual Canada wide exhibition, which focuses on showcasing the works of Canadian photographers. The year’s exhibit featured 27 photographers from all over Canada. This theme was “Connection”. Mine was connecting with music.
The gallery will be on display for everyone to enjoy February 3 – March 30, 2019 at The Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel
Alexis Marie Chute and Aaron Chute duo couple that puts on this exhibition every year. It was such a pleasure to have met them.
I’m looking forward to being apart of this event every year. It sure has opened my eyes to the direction I want to go with my photography. I diffidently learned a lot over the weekend.
Thank you to everyone’s support and votes. Mine didn’t win the peoples choice, maybe next year. Thank you to those that came to the event, it was awesome seeing you.
I got a chance to meet Rita from PhotoED Magazine. What an incredible lady.
On Sunday I too my portfolio to be reviewed and my work looked at by four Canadian Reviewers. They gave me some feedback on how to make my work better and how to promote myself. Plus anything else to help me take my photography to the NEXT LEVEL. Thank you to the four reviewers that looked over my work and gave me some inspiration.

It was an incredible weekend. I’m still on a high with so many ideas I want to do and change. This sure gave me confidence to try new adventures, to up my level. I met so many talented people. I want to thank everyone that supported and voted for me.
I’ve been shooting for over 12 years. I started off just taking photos of kids and families. I took a few courses before I put myself out there in the public. My company’s name was created by my amazing husband. Its a combination of my name and his name, Heaphen that sounds like (heaven).
2016 I ventured into Photoshop and started a different direction of my photography. I still take courses to keep up to the new things out there in the photography industry.
I’ve created a unique look to my shooting and editing. I always say create you own technique, your own signature to you photography.
I do wish I had started this career when I was in my 20’s or even my 30’s. I was busy raising three kids.
